BASIC CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT [BCLS] ORIGINAL COURSE
This one-day BCLS Health-care provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including performing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It's intended for certified or non certified, licensed or non licensed health-care professionals who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital.
Prerequisite: None
Written/Skills Exam: Required for completion card
BASIC CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT RENEWAL COURSE
This is an approximate four to six hour program designed to update and renew BCLS health-care provider skills.
Prerequisite:
Providers who intend to take a renewal course MUST show a current BCLS Health care Provider Card as entrance into a renewal course.
All BCLS Original and Renewal Courses for 2008 will be on Tuesday from 9am to 5pm.
Pre-registration and course payment is required at least 1 week in advance.
